Back to EATRR

These Terms govern your use of EATRR (the "Service"), a web application currently operated by Antwann Thomas ("we", "us"), based in Berlin, Germany. By creating an account or using EATRR, you agree to these Terms.
EATRR is a household kitchen management tool. It lets you build a digital inventory of your fridge and pantry by scanning receipts and barcodes, tracks expiration estimates, suggests recipes based on what you have, shares an inventory and shopping list with other household members you invite, and shows a community feed of recipes shared by other users.
EATRR is currently offered free of charge, during an active beta period. We intend to introduce a paid subscription in the future. If we do, we will give you clear advance notice before any charge, and nothing will be billed to you without your explicit agreement at that time. No part of the Service currently requires payment, and these Terms will be updated with specific billing, cancellation, and refund terms before any paid tier goes live.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, consistent with the minimum age for independent data-protection consent under German and EU law. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must create and manage the account on your behalf.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
If you join or create a shared fridge, other members of that fridge can see and modify the inventory, shopping list, and related activity you contribute to it. Leaving a shared fridge does not delete data you contributed while a member — it remains part of that household's shared record.
If you publish a recipe or post to the community feed, you're granting other EATRR users the ability to view it, save it, and cook it, and you're granting us the right to display it within the Service. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to share anything you post. Don't post anything illegal, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights.
EATRR's expiration estimates, shelf-life guidance, and recipe suggestions are provided as general guidance to help reduce food waste — they are not a food-safety authority and should not replace your own judgment, senses, and applicable food-safety guidance. Always use your own assessment before consuming any food. We are not liable for illness or harm resulting from food consumed based on information provided by the Service.
Certain features (recipe search, receipt reading, recipe suggestions) are powered by third-party services we work with. Our Privacy Policy describes what's shared with them and why.
Don't use EATRR to: break the law; attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization; interfere with the Service's normal operation; or scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service without our written permission.
EATRR's name, design, and underlying software are owned by us. You keep ownership of content you create — see Section 7 for the rights you grant in it.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently removes your personal data, per our Privacy Policy, with the exception of data still needed for shared fridges you were part of. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The Service is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, our liability for damages arising from your use of the Service is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence, except where liability is mandatory under German law (e.g., injury to life, body, or health).
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves — particularly once paid subscriptions launch. We'll notify you of material changes before they take effect.
These Terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence within the EU may also apply.
